Supervision

Experience matters

Supervision

Contractors must provide a full time supervisor (qualified to Site Safety Supervisor / SMSTS, SSTSS standards and / or trade specific supervisory qualification) on all projects for the trades listed as high risk.

These high risk trades / activities include:
• asbestos removal
• concrete trades
• confined spaces work
• demolition
• ground works
• building services works
• metal decking
• piling
• roofing / cladding
• scaffolding
• steelwork
• any other activity deemed to be ‘high risk’ by McLaughlin & Harvey which we believe merits full time supervision

The supervisor will comply with all requests relating to health, safety and welfare and will make available all relevant daily / weekly / other inspection and test records if requested to do so.

The supervisor will attend meetings at the request of McLaughlin & Harvey, and will report if anyone for whom he / she has responsibility is uncertain, untrained or unaware of risks regarding any process or activity in which they are about to embark.

Supervisors should be readily identifiable on-site by means of branded PPE.
