PAVs

PAVs (Push Along Verticals) may only be used by operatives trained to recognised standards under IPAF for PAVs. Operatives who do not have this category of training but can provide proof of training to IPAF category 3a standard (mobile vertical – scissor lifts, vertical personnel platforms (mobile)) may use PAVs if evidence of PAV familiarisation training is provided.

The PAVs may only be used in environments suitable for their use as indicated by manufacturers’ guidance, e.g. flat finished floors. Only models with auto lock safety features that lock the wheels whilst the unit platform is at height may be used.

Static vertical lifts (IPAF Class 1a) may only be used indoors on level floors.
